For vets

What the HealthierCat report on your desk contains, and how to recommend the app.

HealthierCat is an iPhone app for owners of older cats with kidney disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, heart disease, arthritis or chronic gut disease. Owners log doses, a short daily check-in and measurements at home, and bring you a summary instead of trying to remember the last month.

What the report shows

The one-page report covers a set period, usually the last 30 days. It has the cat's conditions as you staged them, weight at the start and end of the period with a chart and the weighing method, average appetite, how often the cat vomited, accidents outside the litter box, loose stools, days drinking or peeing more than usual, and good, okay and hard days. Every current medicine is listed with its schedule and how many scheduled doses were given, along with any dose changes and the owner's questions for you.

Owners with HealthierCat Pro can send a longer report with a second page for lab trends, glucose readings, sleeping breath counts, fluids sessions, quality-of-life scores and their own notes.

Where the app stops

Everything in the report comes from the owner's own records. HealthierCat doesn't diagnose and doesn't suggest doses. When a measure drifts from the cat's own recent normal, the app tells the owner it's worth mentioning to you, and when a number you gave them is crossed, it tells them to call. You can give owners those numbers, for example a sleeping breath rate or a low glucose level, and they enter them in the app.

Recommending it

HealthierCat is free for one cat, including the one-page report. Owners find it on the App Store by searching for HealthierCat. Records stay on the owner's iPhone and in their own iCloud, with no account and no data sent to us.
